Is it Phil Spencer week on N4G?

What a waste of a life.

Have you ever spent a couple of days so engrossed in a game that you do nothing but play it, then when you stop you realise your weekend is over? This guy has done that for EIGHT years.

SPOT ON. It is perfectly okay to have a preference for one system, or to be only able to afford one system. But for someone to say they are a gamer and refuse to touch the games of an 'enemy' system is just ridiculous.

[The Simpsons Nelson voice] "Ha Ha!" Even Phil Spencer owns a PS4 - and prefers it! Maybe.

Spencer certainly comes across as being one of the more down to Earth suits at Microsoft, and is much less abrasive then Aaron Greenberg or Major Nelson. But hasn't he been doing a lot of PR this past month, is this all it takes to win back his homeland?

Well done Boyes. Aaron Greenburg and Major Nelson like to pretend that Microsoft are the victim of Sony 'jibes.' But this ain't a jibe, it is a clear declaration of their fair to developers policy. Clear, straightforward, no BS.

Earlier this week Microsoft said they only apply their parity clause to some (less important to them) developers. Microsoft say they've listened, that they've changed - they haven't changed.

If they had made a decision not based on moneyhats and PRO-DRM policies, but on what has the most powerful hardware then gamers could have played THAT game on console in 1080p!

MCV editor Christopher Dring is doing his usual flaimbait stuff!
The numbers he is talking is for all the Xbox and PlayStation platforms collectively.
So yes, in UK 360 does sell more games then the PS3, it has been this way for the whole generation. But what Dring fails to highlight is that considering this buying pattern, when it comes to the next-generation there has been a sea change. Chart-Track figures show that PS4 games are outselling Xbone games on average 4-1. Th...

I hope they are allowed to finish the game that Black Tusk had to drop for Gears of War.

Doesn't the Xbox One have preloads?

Holy sugar. It's difficult to know what to make of his tweet; "ND wasn't a good fit for me. Yep, the tight turnaround time is really strange."

On one hand it seems innocuous enough, but on the other it is a polite but critical comment on the way Naughty Dog run their ship. To do this publicly isn't very professional unless he feels strongly that there is something that needs to be said.

This is one of five articles Polygon.com posted yesterday to celebrate and promote Titanfall.

If this website is indeed being sponsored for targeted editorial content then they should be banned for disguising advertisements as editorial.

Phil Spencer is certainly getting the hang of how to work the media!

The no-DRM thing that Sony declared last year at Microsoft was not a jibe, which is an insulting remark, it was a declaration of a major policy difference.

Jack Tretton's stance hadn't been seen before and here was huge public support which is what helped persuade Microsoft to reverse their pro-DRM policy - a win for all gamers.

A jibe is all those silly little comments that, certain people in companies make, intended to be a joke but make their produ...

One of the things I hated about the early part of last generation was Sony not keeping us in the loop about when the next firmware update would come. Then out of the blue Eric Lempel would produce a video with some shoddy feature that people didn't want.

The PS4 has launched now and is due an update that includes the missing media play features, game pause/resume, better upload options and more. Microsoft tell tell us at least two months ahead before the next system updat...

Arthur Gies' review words and score do not match.

http://www.p4rgaming.com/wp...

His review is ecstatic with the joy and wonder of the game and its perfection but yet it has a 9/10! He has a grubby reputation as a shill, and there are all those questions about Polygon's secret sponsorship. As all the evidence is getting louder it seems editorial have decreased his...

I miss N4G early last year when nearly every story seemed to be about Mark Cerny. Somebody even made a brilliant spoof front page where every story was about Cerny!

Figures sound right. In the UK multi platforms almost always sell more on 360 then PS3 - a big part of this was that the PS3 was released some SEVENTEEN MONTHS after the 360.

But with the new gen PS4 is already become established as the better selling console and this is with stock still being very hard to find. Come late April when new shipments arrive on UK shores it is expected that Sony will be killing it.

Jeeze. So they intentionally limit the PC graphical performance so the Xbone version doesn't seem inferior?

And to help sell more Xbone consoles, after a three year development, they delay the release of the 360 version of Titanfall by two weeks and disappoint all 360 owners by trying to force them to buy an Xbone?

It just goes to show that with Microsoft, EA, Respawn. Money talks and something walks.
